Continuing education hours is required for all plumbing license renewals.
All continuing education providers, instructors and courses must be pre-approved by the Division of Plumbing and Plumbing Code Committee before continuing education hours will be accepted.

The division is directed by KRS 318.130 to adopt and put into effect a State Plumbing Code. KRS 318.054 authorizes the Division of Plumbing, after review by the State Plumbing Code Committee, to adopt continuing education requirements for plumbers. This administrative regulation establishes those requirements.
Master and journeyman plumbers have the sole responsibility to make sure that all continuing education courses and hours are approved by the office.
