ELEVATOR APPROVED PROVIDERS, COURSES AND SCHEDULES                                                                      

 
Requirements for Elevator Mechanics Continuing Education
Mechanics are required to have eight hours continuing education, which are completed within 12 months prior to applying.  Continuing educations courses shall consist of a minimum of two hours on the job safety, and the other six hours shall consist of one of more of the following:
  • Kentucky adopted codes related to elevators
  • Job safety
  • Items directly related to the elevator trade
Requirements for Elevator Contractor Continuing Education
Contractors shall have eight hours continuing education, which are completed within 12 months prior to applying.  Continuing education courses shall relate to one or more of the following:
  • Business
  • Job safety
  • Kentucky adopted codes related to elevators
  • Items directly related to the elevator trade
